Independent Auditing & Verification

Rail Assessments offer a Auditing and Verification service, either in house or remotely via access to your CMS depending on the type of audit you require. Our fully trained and qualified staff will ensure you are compliant with the relevant legislation and regulations:

  • The Railway and other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006
  • TDLCR 2010 requirements.
  • ORR Requirements & Guidance

What do we check on your audit?

Our qualified staff that undertake your audits have extensive experience in Railway Operations and specialise in verification of competency records in line with legal compliance.

Our most favourable and robust is our on site audit which gives clients piece of mind and corrective actions, if any to ensure compliance. Our checks are robust with a detailed report upon completion.

These audits checks individuals that carry out safety critical work against the following. Please note the list (right) is not exhaustive.

Please note that any future repeat audits will not be undertaken on the same individuals unless a specific request is made.

Remote

Our remote audit checks a certain number of random staff on your current live CMS to ensure compliance. The number of individuals checked are limited per order of remote audits, please see further information on our ordering page.

We ensure that your employees have the correct competencies for the safety critical work they undertake along with supporting evidence that complies with legal requirements. We must have a minimum of read-only access to your system if operating remotely.

We then compile a detailed report outlining any non-compliance, if any and send this to the person responsible within your organisation.

On-Site

Our on site, is the most robust and checks the safety files of individuals and to cross reference these with your CMS. Not only do we check competencies of individuals but we look deep into assessors markings, sign offs and competency of those assessing individuals.

In addition, we look at training records that have found the individual competent to ensure all supporting evidence is in line with legal requirements, along with administrative compliance.

We then send you the detailed report outlining any non-compliance, if any and send this to the person responsible within your organisation.
